One of my favorite things to look for in antique and consignment stores is pretty prints or sketches that are often overlooked or have been framed somewhere difficult for most customers to see. I have found that occasionally while browsing through a store, I will come across a piece of art that instantly inspires me. I love love love when I find faded, pencil fashion sketches or old magazine covers with fun typography... and of course anything 1920's inspired is a true gem to me! Every so often, I surprise myself at which artwork I suddenly take a liking to and those usually become my favorite prints. Anyway, I'm thinking about choosing a few of my favorite art pieces and framing them over my desk in some sort of manner like this... I love the original effect that is created!

Y'all. I am super pumped about this post! It was love at first sight when I first came across the beautiful, Hanna Seabrook, author and founder of Gadabout, the Charleston based design company. I've been reading Hanna's blog posts for just over a year now, and I adore her simplistic, southern style. Seriously, this girl has impeccable taste... take a peek at her blog, I promise she won't disappoint. Needless to say, when glitterguide did an exclusive on Hanna last week, I was thrilled at the chance to peek inside the historic home she and her husband rent in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Every detail in her house reflects her sophistication and southern charm.

Ya'll. I cannot wait to see Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby on the big screen! Seriously, I'm counting down the days till it's release on May 10th. I'm most excited about watching the beautiful actress, Carey Mulligan, play the role of my favorite character, Daisy. However, hearing Jay-Z's soundtrack is a close second. bahh, so. much. glamour.
"I hope she'll be a fool-- that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool." -F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

I love looking at who's wearing what in Vogue Magazine. I admire many celebrities for daring to be bold and trying out different looks. I'm also a little jealous of their courage to do so... (I'm obsessed with Poppy Delevingne's outfit, however I can only imagine the looks I would get if I wore that out in Chapel Hill.) Who knows, maybe one night I'll have an extra glass of wine before getting ready and dress for Hollywood.
1. China Chow. (Workin' those Kirkwood shoes... I die.)
2. Alison Brie. (okay. I'm
not sure I know I could never, ever pull this look off... BUT I am loving it on her. The pink lip makes it by adding just the right amount of femininity.)
3. Diane Kruger. (Anything in nautical colors makes my heart happy.)
4. Poppy Delevingne. (She makes this outfit both sexy and powerful... go on with your bad self poppy.)
5. Olga Kurylenko. (Minimalist yet elegant, never can go wrong with that combination.)

Hi sweet friends! I'm back from my week absence, which I am blaming on two of my professors who decided to assign ridiculously long papers the same day last week. And let it be known, writing papers is pretty high up there on my 'things I despise doing' list.. right there along with blow-drying my hair. Fortunately, I made it through the traumatic time and then happily enjoyed my long, easter weekend at home with family.
In attempt to be festive, I looked up pretty ideas on pinterest for egg decorating and made these beautiful easter eggs! Just kidding, the online search was as far as I got... but these eggs are still pretty!
The service was beautiful and by the time it ended, the sun had come out!
This one was the most excited of all for the walk and all the attention she got with everyone home!
